The little winged boy has a lot to do: He wants to subjugate the world, and that blindfolded. Franz Anton Bustelli designed Cupid, carrying a quiver full of love arrows, in 1755-7. The little Cupid is proudly pulling the world along, which he has already captured. The net around the world looks like it is made of a thousand pearls strung together. The workmanship is exquisite. There is a medallion attached to the opening at the top of the net showing the planetary symbol for Venus. She is the mother of the passionate Amor.
