These stunning hand-crafted cast iron cookware and sterling silver fine table ware were made, developed and produced under the label of Hoffmann-Metallgefaesse (Metal Vessels).
A veritable cult has risen up in Germany around Mr. Hoffmann’s work. Pots and pans made of cast iron, cast iron fondue sets and sterling silver or silver tea services are manufactured in the traditional style in Hoffmann’s metal workshop, and always bear their unmistakable trademarks: simple, pure shapes and solid, robust structures.
Berthold Hoffmann will discuss the design and manufacturing of cast iron cookware and sterling silver fine tableware at the General Society Library on April 9, 2019.
