Concealed Edge Pulls (Jib)
“Jib Pulls,” as they are commonly known, are concealed edge pulls traditionally installed on “jib doors”: doors flush with a wall surface, and decorated only with whatever dressings occur in the room upon it, such as base or chair rail mouldings or wainscoting. Their uses are not limited to concealed doors; they may also be installed horizontally or vertically, on drawers as well as on doors.
E.R. Butler & Co. offers jib pulls in four profiles: radius, angle, round and bullnose. To accommodate varying door thicknesses, jib pulls are available in two standard widths: 1 3⁄4 and 2 1⁄4 inches. Standard lengths for jib pulls are 1, 1 1⁄2, 2, 2 1⁄2, 3, 3 1⁄2, 4, 4 1⁄2, 5, 6, 8, and 10 inches. They are also available in lengths up to 12 feet by special order. To provide for superior strength and durability, E.R. Butler & Co. manufactures jib pulls from 3⁄16 inch thick extruded solid brass. Concealed edge pulls are available in all standard, custom plated and patinated finishes.
