Ludwig Lobmeyr adopted only a handful of products from his father’s Biedermeier range.

According to family legend, everything else was thrown out with a carriage load of “junk” following a bout of company cleaning. In 1883, Ludwig donated the first of 18 volumes of highly artistic production drawings of Lobmeyr’s most important items to the Museum of Applied Arts with the aim of “supporting the glass industry,” as he himself put it.

It was in these books that we discovered Drinking Set No.1, from the earliest days. Today we have over 280 sets. Our 200th anniversary seems like the perfect time to take a look at our roots by relaunching this simple set of wine bottle, goblet, and water glass.
