Today it is a gift, as it was hundred years ago, to work in the Nymphenburg manufactory, as the premises at the Nördliches Schlossrondell resemble an oasis of peace and quiet. Numerous artists including the creator of this common tree frog have therefore set up their own studios at this site. Whilst applying all his powers of concentration, Wilhelm Neuhäuser was able to devote himself to the silent observation of his shy models there. And as a direct consequence of this, he produced 17 impressive animal models in just one and a half years.
